First edition of The Lord of the Rings in six volumes. Hardcover, cloth binding, with outer box. The Fellowship of the Traveling Man (upper and lower). Published in June and December 1973. The Return of the King. Published in December 1974 and February 1975. First editions of all volumes.

Due to the age of the book, the outer box case has some damage and stains on the spine. The gilt lettering on the spine has partially disappeared due to the lack of the main body cover, but there is little damage to the cloth binding itself. The main body of the book has some light soiling and light foxing on the cross section. The first page of the text has some discoloration on the door endpaper, but the rest of the pages are clean and free from any damage or stains.
