This is the 6th printing of the 1974 edition which is the first edition of "The Redbook" in the United Key Features. Rich burgundy/red pebbled leatherette binding with Tolkien's own decorative motifs in gold, silver, blue, and green foil stamping.

Beautiful marbled endpapers in pink/red and blue/black. Two-color printing on the Ring Verse.

Includes the large fold-out map of Middle-earth + "A Part of the Shire" map. Printed in the United States Condition: Very Good to Excellent. The binding is tight and clean, foil stamping remains bright and vibrant, pages are clean with no writing or markings. Marbled endpapers are in excellent shape, some wear on the crease at page 26/27 from use (see pictures) The slipcase is solid with only minor shelf wear.
