J. R. R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings, 1966 1st printing, 2nd Edition, Good

Allen & Unwin all 1966, first printings of the second editions. Correct dust jackets with titles on the flaps blocked out due to printing error. (Many collectors don't know about this feature). Not as good as my other set, so priced lower. Books are very good, square tight bindings. The dust jackets on this set are not as nice as my other set listed and priced according. Much chipping to the covers especially TT and RotK, more tattering and scuffing to edges and spine ends. Overall, a nice collectible set for the price. We have been a professional Tolkien dealer for over 20 years.
