J. R. R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings, 1966 2nd Edition 1st Impression Unwin

Lovely set of the highly coveted and sought after 2nd edition 1st impression Lord Of The Rings - J R R Tolkien, complete with original 2nd edition/1st impression dust jackets. Great set in lovely condition. The books themselves are very good with no names, tears, rips or inscriptions, all 3 have the folded maps to the rear and all 3 maps are excellent. Return Of The King has some old creases on pages 34 & 35 (See Images) but it's a minor fault. Fellowship Of The Ring has some light stains to the edgepapers. Dust jackets are good with a few issues with discoloured spines and wear to the edges and extremities but they pretty good and now protected in clear duct jacket covers. All 3 are complete and not price clipped which is a bonus. Solid and complete set in lovely original condition with no restoration or repairs. Two Towers is very slightly cocked. These are priced to sell so don't miss out. Including a 1st/1st of The Return Of The King, some later 1st editions, early Hobbits and some lovely Silmarillion 1sts.
