First impressions of the second edition set 1966 published by George Allen & Unwin. Price clipped dust jackets with a little wear to the edges, more so to The Fellowship, as is often the case, otherwise tidy jackets, now in smart removable protective wrappers. Red cloth covers are tidy, with bright gilt lettering to the spine, a little wear to the edges, securely bound, with a lean. Red top edges, pages clean and tidy, a little toned, each volume with the same previous owners gift inscription to the free endpaper, The Fellowship has a small tear to the front pastedown and a few pages with a crease.

Each volume is complete with the fold out map at the back. Very good condition, The Fellowship good.
