1973, 7th impression of the 2nd edition. An important set in any Tolkien collection. This printing they changed the jacket cover style from the familiar dark grey to using Tolkien's art. Jackets have no fading or tearing, especially on spine, true fine. Books have slight reading curves to spines, but no serious flaws.
