The Lord of The Rings by J. Deluxe edition, fifth impression 1976, published by George Allen & Unwin. This edition box is a little unusual - first deluxe edition of The Hobbit was released in the same year as this fifth impression (1976), and some of the surplus boxes from The Hobbit were used again here, with The Lord of The Rings label pasted directly over The Hobbit label (if you look closely at the label you can see the text underneath).
This edition box also used a slightly different surface material. Tidy box, book with a some faint marks to the front cover, gilt decorations are bright, securely bound, pages clean and tidy, the page opposing the second map has a crease, complete with both fold out maps which are crisp, no inscriptions, comes with the original tissue wrapper. Will be carefully bubble wrapped and packed in box.
