An exciting set of fairly early printings (8, 6, 5) from the same year, in matching dust jackets, housed in the original slipcase. The Fellowship of the Ring. First edition/eighth printing published by Allen and Unwin (London, 1959).

Foldout map present and attached as issued. Very good hardcover book, a soft crease to spine, mild wear to tips, in a fair, eighth printing dust jacket which is separated at joint of spine and front panel, with tape reinforcements to backside.

Ample wear and toning to spine panel, otherwise just some mild creasing and a few small, ineffectual stains to panels. Original price is present, and the book is clean internally. First edition/sixth printing published by Allen and Unwin (London, 1959).

Very good hardcover book, a soft crease to spine, mild wear to tips and a few mild spots of discolouration to boards, in a very good, sixth printing dust jacket with toning and splash marks to spine panel and a faint, semicircular stain to front panel. The Return of the King.

First edition/fifth printing published by Allen and Unwin (London, 1959). Near fine hardcover book, offset toning to endpapers and mild softening to spine ends, in a very good, fifth printing dust jacket with toning and splash marks to spine and over a bit to rear panel, tearing to spine ends but shallow and with very minimal loss. In fair condition: structurally fine, but amply stained and toned with some rippling to top panel.
