Rare 1966 2nd Ed 1st Impression Lord Of The Rings Trilogy J R R Tolkien

The first print of the second edition. All books are good; usual slant with red top edge slightly faded. The book dust jackets have been protected; the return of the king was done poorly and the glue from the tape has marked the front and back endpapers - I have now replaced this with a new protective cover.

The other two books have been covered but they are attached in some way to the jackets and I don't want to risk removing them. I have attached photos to show all of the above. The jackets seem in excellent condition but have not removed, the books seem in good shape without actually taking the jackets off. A rare opportunity to get the sought after first print of the second edition.
