RARE and sought after Tolkien : Lord of the Rings box set. First UK edition, 1960 reprint. Part 1 being an eighth printing, NOTE the dustjacket says 9th printing, probably because these 2 print runs are very close. Part 2 being a seventh printing.

Part 3 being a sixth printing. Original cloth hardcover in UN-clipped dust jacket with original cardboard slipcase. Slipcase has soiling, wear, splitting and bumping to one corner. Some minor fading to cloth at the extremities. Part 1 has bumping to corner.

Minor spotting to the fore edge.
