The Fellowship of the Ring Tolkien 1961 Likely 9th Impression - Hobbit

Up for sale is a First Edition Likely 9th Impression of The Fellowship of the Ring by Tolkien. One of the first 10,000 copies issued based upon tolkienbooksdotus fact sheet. That site indicates that after the 9th printing, the lettering on the dust jacket became brown, not red. If you aren't sure whether this is a 9th or 10th impression, you should read that site's description and notes. Pages are very clean, and Map was likely never opened. Torn Dust and frayed Jacket and staining to the front and back boards. Some discoloration of the dust jacket.

All condition issues were taken into account in the pricing of this book. First Edition Walter Lorraine Dust Jacket is torn as shown, and ripped as shown. The book itself is not written in. Interior boards are dirty -- again as shown.

The illustrated map folded into the back page was likely unopened, until I did so. Condition Issues are taken into condition in the pricing.
