Book description: Published byThe Folio Society in 1979 this is the 2nd impression of'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy by J. Tolkien, presented in their original slip-case.

The Return of the King' is in very good condition apart from two small smudges on the back board. The Two Towers' has some loss to the gilding on the spine and the cloth has worn away on part of the reverse. The Fellowship of the Ring' has some marks on the spine and a small smudge on the back board. The pages are in excellent condition throughout all three books.

As is often the case these books look barely read. The original slip-case has tanned a little and there is a rough patch on the back.
